The sea turtle at the right was rescued from
The Gulf of Mexico.
Santa Maria, a loggerhead, was caught by mistake while anglers were fishing.
The fishing line in her mouth was caught deep in her throat.
She was taken to the hospital at Gulf World in
Panama City Beach, Florida.
The next day she was brought back to the beach where she began, and released. She raced back into the sea. Safe!
